"Jesse Syndrome - it's strikes women out of nowhere."

In Fearless, book 2 of this series, we watch the relationship between Jesse and Niki grow. It's because of their relationship that they also grow individually. Bad boy Jesse no longer turns to alcohol and women to deal with life, and in book 2 he gets a lot thrown his way. His need to be a better person comes from his love for Niki. Niki is still trying to get out from under her controlling father, who wants her to go to law school instead of following her dreams of fashion design.
They are both passionate about their career paths, as well as each other. As Jesse's professional career in motocross gets back on track, Niki has decided for sure she wants to study fashion design, despite what her father wants. Jesse asks Niki to take a month off from classes and go to Milan with him for his first race, which she has agreed to until her dad steps in and threatens to cut her off financially. Now Niki must decide between her dreams of fashion design and her love for Jesse. I don't want to give any spoilers, because it will take away from the emotional roller coaster at the end.
I love that the story is told in both Jesse and Niki's points of view. It's not often you see the male point of view, and the author does a great job at capturing Jesse's personality this way. It's through Jesse's internal monologue that we watch him change from all out bad boy to a softer version of himself. You can see this in his actions, but it's his internal thoughts that really capture the changes. Had it only been from Niki's perspective, we would have lost some of this.
I can't wait to read the third book.

By the writers artistry in crafting a story, I have had ny faith restored in Romance Genre again.

Having shied away from the 'normal' types of romance stories, I decided to give 'Fearless' by Eve Carter one last chance to restore my faith in this genre.
I am overjoyed to at last find an author who crafts her book so well that I was drawn into the story 'Like Alice in the looking glass', and thoroughly enjoyed this book.
Finally an author that I can 'follow' knowing that the storyline will be completely believable, well crafted, and will fulfill all my reading expectations. I find an author that fulfills all my needs in a particular genre, and then read every book that they write after that. If I could afford it, I would literally 'Eat Books' as my primary source of sustenance. With rhe advent of Amazon E-books, like a squirrel, I have stockpiled a number in my Kindle library and regretfully you will not hear from me until I have finished them.

Jesse has come into a lot of untold truths with his uncle who is his father and with his mom. Niki fights her dad to be with him and is willing to fly to Milan with him to learn fashion. They acknowledge that they love each other and I have to wait for book three
