And when Adam meets Marti, sparks fly. Between romantic bonfires and stolen kisses, they are inseparable.

Then Marti discovers who Adam truly is, and her world is turned upside down. Ever since her father nearly ruined her life, she vowed never to fall for a rocker. But when tragedy strikes, Marti is forced to look within. And she discovers that maybe falling in love with a rock star is not so crazy after all.

From Booklist
Marti’s life was nearly ruined by her reckless rock-star dad and addict mom when her grandmother rescued her, giving her a happy home and a fancy trip to photography camp. Meanwhile, lead guitarist Adam, the youngest brother in the blockbuster band Jamieson, is taking a break from his rock-star life and going undercover at photography camp, hoping to get some time away from his overbearing family. The two fall in love, despite Marti vowing to never love a “rocker,” and look forward to two weeks of bliss until—take a deep breath—Adam breaks his arm, Marti’s grandmother dies, the two are separated, and Marti begins to wonder if she is pregnant following a night of uncontrolled passion. Adam and Marti are both likable, relatable teens that are easy to root for. Like its companion book, Rock and a Hard Place (2013), featuring Adam’s brother Peter, this against-all-odds love story will entice readers seeking high drama, hard knocks, earnest love, and a storybook ending. Grades 7-10. --Heather Booth

About the Author

Angie Stanton never planned on writing books—she wanted to be a Rockette. However, growing up in rural America with her brothers' 4-H pigs as pets, she found that dance didn't quite work out. Instead, she became an avid daydreamer. After years of perfecting stories in her head, she began to write them down, and the rest is history. When not writing, she loves watching natural disaster movies, going to Broadway musicals, and dipping French fries in chocolate shakes. She lives in Madison, Wisconsin.

Awesome Read!!!!
By Jennifer H.
Well Angie did it again.....I thought this book was just as wonderful as the first Jamieson book. I Loved Adam, I kept forgetting that he was only 16, I thought this book was well written. It flowed well. I didn't think this one was as an emotional read as Rock and a Hard Place ( I cried like a baby throughout that book) This one I laughed and felt the love, but I didn't think Marti's story was as gut wrenching as Libby's was. Not to say that both girls didn't go through a lot of hardship. Anyways I think I am babbling, but the point is if you liked Rock and a Hard Place then you definitely need to read Snapshot!!!!!! I do like that Peter and Libby are also in this book. I do have to say though, I really don't like Garrett, he really is an arse:( Hopefully if he gets his own book his attitude and personality will change A LOT!!

Definitely A MUST READ!!!!!!!

Snapshot Review
By Claire912
Angie Stanton's latest, Snapshot, is exactly what YA fans have come to expect--it's relevant, funny and makes you fall in love with fictional people! Snapshot is a great follow-up to Rock and a Hard Place. A little lighter but with the same compelling plot, Marti's sassy attitude towards Adam makes you cheer for them the entire story. Who doesn't love a good girl-and-boy-hate-make-that-secretly-love-each-other plotline?! It reads almost like a great romcom that you'd spend Friday night watching with your girlfriends. Snapshot is a book I definitely recommend, and I can't wait for the third novel in this exciting rocker brother series!

Excellent follow up for Rock and a Hard Place
By Regina M. Ward
I simply love Rock and a Hard place, it is truly one of my favorite books. Therefore, I was ecstatic when the most "Awesome Angie" placed a teaser of the Jamieson's family continuation, her new book Snapshot!

Snapshot's story begins with the youngest brother Adam attending a photography camp. He thinks a haircut, going by AJ, and being sans his famous musician brothers will help him blend with the other teenagers. Immediately he catches the attention of Marti. Marti isn't your typical teenager. Being raised by her Grandmother, due to the fact she is the product of drug addict mother and a chemically induced rock guitar father, she despises any connection to fame.

The sweetness of new love and their connection to one another literally made me feel eons younger. The situations the young couple were placed in throughout their time at camp varied from giggly cute to maturely physical and even tragic.

I laughed, was frustrated, teary a few times, and I was elated. Snapshot was a seemless beautiful story for those of us who love falling in love. Bravo "Awesome Angie", thank you for continuing the Jamieson's...can't wait to see what you have planned for Garrett!!!
